Jeff Grossman does work as a Golf Course Designer and he came to me looking for a logo for his business. He had some ideas about what he wanted, but as it works a lot of times there are too many ideas and they need to be simplified and made to be more elegant. He had the idea of having a very hand drawn/brush stroke kind of green and when I started doing that it just appeared to me…a G and a D to make up the green surface.

The words are designed to emphasize the color difference in the green and highlight the Grossman brand.
